So, this is what I've been working on for a few days now. It took a total of about maybe 3 - 4 hours? Can't remember. I had to braid the chin hairs and add individual beads to the hair in general, I had to paint that damn coin silver cuz it was gold but it was the perfect size and shape so hell, why not. I had to bake that damn white thing on his hair (does anyone even know what it is in the movie?!). Had to cut out LOTS of yarn for his hair and glue it on piece by piece (as in a few strands a few strands, etc.) That's a piece of cloth on his head like a bandanna and I had to hand paint his eyes cuz the original duck was blue eyed.
All in all, he came out FANTASTIC and I'm quite proud. He's also 10" tall >.<. Saw the duck at Wal-Mart and my friend Loritza insisted that I make a giant Jack Sparrow out of him. I bought two ducks, one for this Jack and one for Sailor Moon. I'm not done with her yet, need a few more pieces.
I'm going to raffle them off at Megacon and see how much I get for them. It's risky but I'm only making tickets $2 a pop so who wouldn't want a chance to win this at $2? It's COOL!! Come on... isn't it?

Aw, it came out really awesome, hon! Work well spent. As for the thing in his hair, I believe it's a smooth and flattish piece of bone, like a bone folder used in book making (Only much skinnier in Jack's hair). Without looking at the original guy right now, I think that's my impression of it.

Yeah, I always thought it was some sort of bone too, s'why I made this one long and thin and out of transluscent-ish clay that made it look like bone

i still like the duck its me the guy on stilts from megacon i hope that the help i gave u guys made a lot of money for u it was realy fun hope to see u guys next year hopfuly if i go but as what?(P.S. i cant spell and dont make scense all the time)
